Cyber Monday Sales 2008 – Will It Be Better Than Many Expect?

Tomorrow is Cyber Monday Sales 2008, where you can forget the crowds at the stores and order your gifts online. Forget the insanity of Black Friday and all the violence and idiocy of humanity. At least no one will trample you at your computer, or pull out a gun and begin firing.

It’s for these reasons, and many others as well, that cyber shopping has taken off in recent years. Companies like Amazon have made it possible to buy virtually any product you could ever want right at home over your computer.

The growth in online shopping is only going to continue growing in the coming years. Many are predicting that in the coming years online purchases will exceed those of brick and mortar sales.

People enjoy the fact they don’t have to burn gas to get to all the stores, spend time in crowded stores being bumped and jostled (if not stampeded) and have everything delivered right to their homes. And there will be no shortage of Cyber Monday deals online.

Sales for Cyber Monday and the shopping season online this year are expected to increase 12% over a year ago. That’s good news for retailers who were bracing for much lower sales due to a weakened economy.
