In the spotlight today is Hang Mioku, a 48 year old Korean woman who has taken cosmetic surgery abuse to an unheard level by injecting cooking oil into her face. Yes, you read that right…she would inject cooking oil into her face! Her face now looks like something out of a horror movie. Several questions come to mind when seeing this, namely why? Here’s what she says.

Hang Mioku had her first cosmetic procedure at the age of 28 and hasn’t stopped since. After she started, she soon moved to Japan to have even more procedures done because doctors in Korea refused to do any more operations.
Shortly after many procedures were done in Japan, Hang returned home. At this time her parents could not even recognize her as their daughter.
According to the The Daily Telegraph in London, her parents were able to convince that she had a psychological disorder and got her into treatment. But it didn’t last long as Hang found yet another doctor who injecter her with silicone.
An even more amazing, and frankly disgusting, part of the story is that the doctor even gave Mioku a syringe and silicone to inject herself with. Eventually, she ran out of silicone and substituted cooking oil. Yes, she actually injected cooking oil into her face and neck.
By this time, Hang is so disfigured and grotesque that everyone who see’s her is talking about her. She was soon seen on Korean TV and viewers sent in donations to help her have surgery to try and reduce her face to a more normal size.
Surgeons who performed the operation say they removed 60g of cooking oil from her face and 200g from her neck. Although more procedures have been performed and her face is getting back to its origninal size, the damage has been done and she will forever be permanently disfigured. She now says she may have gone too far, and would like to look like she originally did before the nightmare started.
Stories like this one are hard to understand and sad at the same time. Yes, it is obvious she is mentally unstable, but there must be more behind this than that. I’d like to get your thoughts on the story and if you’ve ever had family or friends who have had multiple cosmetic surgeries and their results from it.

first of all i would like to ask why she started doing the surgeries was the first surgery bad ,or she started having problems with her face?this is very imortant to know, and why she started to inject herself with silicone or oil later?was it ilke tragic result of plastic surgery or she just wasnt satisfied first?
I guess it’s karma, god gave her such a beautiful face and she abused of it to much, and now she’s might understand that plastic surgerie wasn’t the way to go.
I think she’s got mental disorder.thus, she’s never satisfied wit her beauty,,think she’s crazy,,isn’t she??poor woman,,
Why did she use cooking oil? It’s common sense that it’s not a valid substitute for silicone, otherwise people would be widely doing it. Or are there benefits to cooking oil for skin that I don’t know about?
and she was a beautiful woman to before.
My friend’s mom had some surgeries and she’s HOT
i think that plastic surgery is great…..we should be encouraging our youth that it is a great procedure to keep them safe from mishaps like this
people should try to be as beautiful as possible so that everyone is hot and public is more pleasant
Beautiful people are more wholesome
Wonder why all of the sudden she wants to go back to her original face when she’s been injecting oil into her face for all these years….

man,it led to an addiction as bad as a drug addiction.she looks as bad as the bride of wildenstein.if anyone who actually needed plastic surgery saw this.they wouldn’t even do it.
its psychological man.pretty hard to get rid of an obsession.it has gone on a different path but she still wants more cos shes obsessed.
she deserved it, like one or two surgery/s would be understandable, like who doesn’t want to look beautiful, i plan to have surgery around my eye lids when I’m in my mid twenty’s (i asked people and they supported me because its beneficial) but going as far as what she did is crazy, sure she had a mental disorder but the choices were left entirely to her and she choose the wrong path to go down to obviously.
I really feel sorry for her.
I don’t blame her for anything she did; she’s obviously mentally unstable and cannot be held responsible for her actions. I don’t disrespect her by calling her crazy or insane or say it’s karma: it’s not, it’s a disorder.
the sad thing is that society has made all of us so insecure with what god has given us naturally. Deep down everyone has a shallow side to them & this ultimately affects others around us. Start loving people for who they are on the inside, not just the way they look on the outside!
