How Is The Date For Easter Calculated?

Have you ever wondered how the date for Easter Sunday is calculated? Why is it sometimes in March and many times in April? Well, the answer is a simple one.

Easter will always fall on the first Sunday after the Paschal Full Moon, which is the full moon after March 21, or the Spring equinox.

This means that Easter can be anywhere between March 22 and April 25th.

Good Friday will then always be 3 days before Easter, and can fall between March 20 and April 23rd.

Of course, Jesus rose in A.D. 34, but did you know that the name “Easter” is never used in the Bible to associate the death and resurrection of Jesus?
