Left Handed Presidents - President Obama Isn’t The First

It seems that left-handed Presidents are becoming the norm over the years now. If you hadn’t noticed, President Obama is left-handed. But he has many predecessors that were also southpaws.

What makes this so strange is the fact that only 10% of our population is left hand dominant.

Believe it or not, 7 out of the last 14 Presidents were left-handed.

The list includes not only President Obama, but former Presidents Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush, Ronald Reagan, Gerald Ford, Harry Truman, Herbert Hoover and James Garfield.

A strange phenomenon to be sure. Maybe there is something to being left-handed and aspiring to become President. But don’t look for an avalanche of parents begin to raise their children to be left-handed anytime soon. Or on second thought…
