It seems that there is a “National Day” for just about everything these days, but a national weed day is really taking it a step further.

April 20th has been proclaimed a national weed day for all pot smokers to light up in protest to marijuana laws.

Of course, this date has been around since the 70′s when High Times helped popularize it.

Pro-pot rallies are planned all over the U.S. and Canada in support of the day even though police say that anyone caught smoking weed will be cited.

No word yet from Taco Bell, McDonalds and other fast food chains as to whether they are gearing up for higher than normal sales. After all, there will definitely be a lot of extra cases of the munchies going around.
