Believe it or not, and I know it’s hard to believe some of the dumb things people will do, people are now throwing “Swine Flu Parties”. It’s true…some believe that being around others with swine flu will help them get immunity.

Now I don’t claim to be a doctor, nor do I portray one on TV, but this is just plain stupid. Reports are beginning to come in to health experts around the world that people are in fact throwing these swine flu parties and inviting infected folks to attend and mingle.

According to public health expert Dr. Richard Jarvis, he states that doing something like this is a bad idea. No joke! He goes on to say that by doing so you will be putting your health, and the health of your children at risk, regardless of how mild the symptoms are.

Dr. Jarvis is the chairman of the British Medical Association Public Health committee and has been working in diagnosing and treating people with swine flu.

He also states that going out and intentionally trying to get the flu will only undermine the containment process the world has been attempting to do for the past several months.

What ever happened to common sense?
