One of the worst things about any bird feeder is how the squirrels come up and eat all the seed out of it. Well, the Yankee Flipper is a ’squirrel proof” bird feeder that also has a lot of cool features, including one feature that will blow your mind. Here’s a look… 

As someone who loves to feed wild birds, I am always looking for a feeder that will keep the other animals away from all the food. After all, I’m trying to feed the birds, not all the neighborhood rodents. Well, this new Yankee Flipper seems like it will do the job right. Even better is the fact it will hold so much extra birdseed. Up to 5 pounds in its 21 inch long tube.

Now to the really fun part of this little gizmo! The feeder has a built-in motor that senses weight. Birds that land on the feeder will not set it off. But, a heavier animal like a squirrel will. And what happens next? Well, the moment a squirrel sits on it the motor begins to spin the feeder in circles. Talk about a wild ride! It’s really as entertaining as it is effective. Watch the squirrel come off of it and take off running.

This leaves the food for my cardinals, blue jays and other birds to enjoy. It’s not that I dislike squirrels, it’s just that I want to feed the birds.
